Benromach is Speyside’s smallest distillery. Started in 1898 and now owned by G&M. The distillery has had quite a history and was actually closed twice for different reasons. Finally rescued by G&M in 1998 and now producing an exquisite range of expressions.This 30YO however was distilled by the previous owners and was the key to resurrecting Benromach as it used to be so long ago. Nosing finds hints of rum, raisins and smooth peach. In the mouth, rich Christmas cake, a touch of marzipan, a little smoke and pepper with a long sherry finish.
