This medium-bodied number out of Spain is a lighter-oaked red (which is what Crianza indicates), that shows some quite savoury, almost earthy characters on the nose, intermingled with smells of ripe plums, dark berries and hints of tobacco. The palate is smoothly fruited, with a touch of grip to the tannins that give way to a bright spiced plum finish. Could do with a bit of extra time in bottle, but with some air it would be ideal with nachos tonight! Red – Other Reds – Red
