Bookers Bourbon is part of Jim Beam's Small Batch Collection. Booker’s bourbon is a barrel strength bourbon meaning it is bottled straight from the barrel without water being added. It also means that the Alcohol By Volume (ABV) will vary depending on the barrel. At MyBottleShop we have seen the rare USA 64.45% and the super rare 64.60% or 64.45% bottling. Also the seemingly more common 62.25%ABV which suggests that Booker does add some water to get a consistent ABV otherwise they would have to produce new bottle labels every time they opened a new barrel. This gives you an insight into the pragmatics of big business compared to say a small family distillery where everything is done by hand including writing the ABV on the bottle!Bottled straight from the barrel – uncut and unfiltered.
