That which gave its name to this vineyard can still be seen between the Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet appellations. Bouchard Père & Fils vinifies the grapes from this vineyard separately (21 “ares”) for it is the most prestigious of Chevalier-Montrachet. The land is located in the continuity of the Montrachet and was part of this appellation at the beginning of the 20th century.
