After a chance encounter with a seriously smooth, sticky date liqueur, the brewers at Burleigh wandered how they might have some fruity fun with their own enchanting ingredient. So began the blending of hundreds of kilos of fresh dates with three specially selected, medium and dark malts – and a generous serving of aromatic hops. The result is a deliciously dark ale with subtle notes of caramel, toffee and sundried fruit.
