Rioja and Tempranillo. A classic Spanish region and a classic Spanish grape making for a decidedly classic combination. Of course such a combo comes at a price, no? You expect to pay more for such history, surely? Not in this instance you don’t, for this Calo presents with much of the swagger of more expensive Rioja but at a much more accessible price (and with slightly more approachable, softer edges). Lovely rich and mouthfilling Spanish red with plenty of heart. Red – Other Reds – Tempranillo
