Reserva basically means it has spent a bit longer in oak, which makes it’s presence felt a bit more than in the Classico style. This one certainly shows generous amounts of toasty oak, but also has some nice plum and cherry smells and flavours in the mix. the palate is medium-bodied and a touch grippy from the oak tannins, but does have some cherry and earthy savouriness to the long, lingering finish. It’s made for food, and would be great with some spicy Italian sausages and garlic mash. Red –
