For those wine geeks amongst you, this is a Cru Bourgeous level wine (just above AOC for extra geekiness), but that’s enough of that! The wine itself is a medium-bodied cab merlot blend that shows scents of cassis, tobacco leaf, earthy spices and toasty cedar on the nose. The palate is easy to come at with ripe dark fruits, toast and mocha flavours, friendly savoury tannins, and a dry, decent finish. It comes into it’s own with some roasted red meats.
