This is the flagship Barolo from Ciabot Berton made using the best of traditional methods. Aged in large old oak barrels, the flavours are all about superb nebbiolo fruit – tar, roses, spice, fennel, dark fruits. 2004 is a long cellaring vintage but is now bgining to show why it is regarded as a great year. Tannins have softened to reveal great depth of flavour and complexity. Serve in a large Pinot glass and ideally decant (for air) prior to drinking.
