Del Maguey San Luis Del Rio Single Village Mezcal is crafted in a village with an 2400m elevation located in an arid, narrow valley alongside the Red Ant River. This village’s mezcal displays notes of spice, ripe tropical and berry fruit, grapefruit, and leather.Two hours south of Oaxaca, Mexico, on a two-lane, pot holed highway on route to the Gulf of Tehuantepec is the turnoff to San Luis Del Rio. One takes another 2 hours on a winding, rocky, dirt road to get there! The village of San Luis Del Rio is in a narrow, hot valley, with steep slopes full of Maguey Espadin agave.A fantastic drink and a must-try for the uninitiated!
