From Chablis comes this great value wine from small producer Denis Pommier. After a couple of years in bottle, this has gained some bright pear smells on the nose, along with hints of roasted nuts, preserved lemons and slatiness. Meanwhile, the palate is still quite bright and zesty, with tastes of lemons and cashew nuts, a delicate lick of honey, a decent zip to the acidity, and a dry, clean, quartzy mineral finish. Great with grilled John Dory. White – Chardonnay and Blends – Chardonnay
