Chenin blanc is a very underrated variety. We don’t see the best of it in Australian examples, but the ones from the Loire Valley in France can live for decades, and generally need a couple of years in bottle to come together. This wine is from one of the better producers in the Loire, and is in a ‘sec’ style which means dry. However, this one is more off dry as it has a suggestion of sweetness. Aromas of fleshy stone fruits and citrus rise from the glass before the palate comes along with grace
