Dominique Roger Domaine du Carrou

(0)

Winemaker Dominique Roger can trace his ancestral roots back to the 18th century in Sancere, but the family have only been making wines there since about 1950. Now, don’t expect a Marlborough-style savvy here – this one is much more in the gooseberry and yellow citrus vein, with hints of stone fruits on the nose. The palate is light and chalky in texture with citrus and apple flavours, zippy acidity, and a dry, honey-edged finish. It’s a great seafood wine. White – Sauvignon Blanc and Blends – S
