The Dr Loosen estate has been in the same family for more than 200 years. It has the largest holdings in the legendary four-acre Erdener Pralat site, considered by many to be the Mosel’s finest vineyard. The site has perfect southern exposure with a 45-degree slope, very old vines and a mineral-rich red soil directly alongside the river. It produces kaleidoscopic wines from fully botrytis-affected bunches, meaning rich, juicy, sweet fruit flavours with great intensity and length.
