If you haven’t yet ventured into tempranillo territory, this could be a good place to start. It’s a more medium-bodied, lighter oaked wine that shows some pretty dark cherry, blueberry and Chinese five spice on the nose, along with hints of savoury meatiness. The palate is pretty smooth and easy going, with lots of savoury flavours, licks of plummy fruit, gentle tannins, and a bit of juiciness to the finish. Excellent with lamb shish kebab!
