The wine shows lifted aromas of
ripe blueberry and blackcurrant
fruit, fragrant floral notes and
hints of chocolate.
The palate is full bodied with fresh berry fruit –
blackcurrant and fresh dark cherries, lavender,
hints of anise, some cedary spice, background
earthiness and a lingering fine tannin finish.
The fruit was fermented on
skins for eight days before being
pressed and transferred to barrel
for 18 months maturation. A
mix of 85% French and 15%
American oak was used. 15% in
new barrels.
