Fraser Gallop Estate Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 750mLA colder, longer and wetter winter delayed the budburst by 3-4 weeks which had the effect of delaying flowering into a later period in spring. This was the vintage where quantity and quality appeared. We adopted canopy management practices such as leaf and shoot removal early to open up the canopies and provide more exposure and airflow through the vines. Perfectly ripened grapes with no disease and the long hang time brought in red grapes with some of the highest anthocyanin and tannin measurements recorded.
