Gentleman Jack 700mL – Gentleman Jack had a label update in the later part of 2015 with a much bolder silver label and 2 drops on the lid to signify the fact that Gentleman Jack is Double Charcoal Mellowed – meaning Jack Daniels is filtered through 3 metres of American maple wood charcoal TWICE. Making it super smooth.The second charcoal filtration process employed to mellow the already aged Gentleman Jack takes place at the bottling plant where there is a 10 foot tall charcoal mellowing vat, exactly the same as used on the distillate prior to ageing. However, the Gentleman Jack filters are less densely filled with charcoal so it takes a day or two less for the spirit to trickle through. The Gentleman Jack filtering vats require filling with fresh charcoal more regularly and this frequency is determined by a panel of whiskey tasters.
