We don’t often associate Marlborough with chardonnay, but maybe it’s time we did. This is a great value chardy from Hunter’s wines that has done pretty well on the wine show circuit in NZ. It’s a dry, fruity, moderately oaked wine that shows ripe citrus and stone fruits on the nose, along with attractive whiffs of Digestive biscuits. The palate is more medium-bodied and rounded with fine, zippy acidity, a talcy mouthfeel, and a long, peach crumble finish. Excellent with poached salmon fillets in
