The wines are distilled while still young; thus, by correct separation of distillates and prolonged aging, a very fine brandy is obtained, with a special personality, characteristic for Jidvei. A traditional Romanian liquor, it is obtained exclusively by distilling wine at a maximum alcohol content of 86% per volume. The distillate is aged in oak barrels for at least 5 years (V.S.O.P.).
