The Margaret River wine region has built an international reputation as a home of fine wine in Australia. A relatively small producer of Australian wine, the region produces a massive 20% of Australia’s premium wine. It is a region that is more than capable of producing wines to match the world’s best, offering powerful, yet elegant, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc blends.
The Loose Leaf wines, from the wine makers of Forester Estate, provide an opportunity to experience the best of these varieties from the Margaret River wine region.
Modern white winemaking techniques are employed in the production of this Chardonnay, with temperature control considered critical from the moment the fruit reaches the winery. The fruit is destemmed and crushed, then must chilled and pressed off skins in a very short space of time. It is allowed to cold settle for 48 hours before being racked in a clarified state ready for fermentation in tank and barrel.
