In keeping with its predecessors’ theme, the Macallan Edition Number 6 follows. It was crafted with five types of casks, all hand-picked by the expert Macallan Whisky Maker, Steven Bremner, inspired by the natural marvel of the distillery Macallan and the famous River Spey, the home of the Atlantic Salmon.
The American and European oak barrels help to build a taste profile that is as complicated as it is delicious and offer a multidimensional taste experience only in the best words. It brings fresh fruit, nutmeg, subtle ginger, melted chocolate, and light oak on the nose, before notes of plum, sticky orange, balanced oak, and creamy toffee. The final finish is long, with fresher fruits and cinnamon spices before toasted nuts hold for some time.
It is a truly interesting, flavorful whisky, and fans everywhere easily snap it up.
