Strong varietal presence on the nose, with blackcurrant, chocolate and some integrated grape-skin characters, reminiscent of the best wines from Bordeaux. It’s full-bodied, firm but not aggressive palate with sweet, ripe fruit characters. Round and generous, already showing the benefit of some time in bottle to bring out the inherent power and intensity of the fruit. Very good now but will certainly benefit from some more bottle maturation.
