Meao (pronounced ‘Meow’) is one of the superstars of the Douro valley. Up until 1998, the fruit used to find it’s way into the legendary Barca Velha – Portugal’s answer to Grange, but in 1999 they decided to go it alone, and have never looked back. This version comes from a pretty good vintage, and was quite an oaky number when first released.
