Mount Trio has been created by winemaker Gavin Berry and his wife Gill, with the aim of producing high quality, accessible and affordable wines which are true to their varietal and regional origins. Their Syrah has loads of spicy fruit flavours tightly held together with its light acidity and slightly chewy tannins. A few months maturation in oak has added some complexity without losing the depth & freshness of the fruit; it is well flavoured and ripe while still having some subtlety and finesse. The generous fruit flavours allow you to enjoy our Syrah immediately (it is imminently drinkable!) though it will also continue to develop with further bottle age. Would be a match with any well flavoured dish.
