Oban 21 Year Old 700mLA very special and rare extra-mature Oban, unusually matured in refill European oak butts, that’s quite ethereal and especially maritime in nature. Oban is a little gem of a distillery founded in 1794, which predates the town that grew around it. This is one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries, so small that there is no room for the worm tubs next to the still house (they nestle in the rooftops), and the stills themselves are tiny. It once almost fell victim to its size – its closure was announced in 1968 because it was so small, but fortunately a reprieve was granted
