It is definitely a savoury, non-fruity wine showing choc-coated prunes, Christmas cake, mocha and balsamic on the nose, whilst the palate is fuller-bodied and dense, with earthy and rustic flavours from oxidative handling, a touch of red fruits, mellow tannins, and a smooth, savoury finish.
