Cabernet Sauvignon is considered one of the world’s most noble grape varieties – and rightly so when you consider this finely tuned version which comes from one of Australia’s most revered cabernet regions, the Coonawarra, considered the jewel in the crown of the wider Limestone Coast zone in South Australia’s cool south-east. This youthful release reveals all the hallmarks of the variety in its richer, darker-fruited, textured mood. Intense and concentrated with black olive notes, lifted with prettier inferences of the violet, lavender and mint spectrum of herbs, all classic expressions from the variety. There are other more oak-derived suggestions too like dark cacao chocolate whichadds depth of character to the mouthfeel and finish.
