Rossville Union Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskey 750mL – Rossville Union Master Crafted Straight Rye is the first proprietary rye brand released by MGP Ingredients based in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. This straight rye whiskey is aged at least four years in new, charred American oak and is bottled at 94 proof. It was made from a batch of 159 barrels.After helping supply rye to so many other brands (think Bulleit Rye, Cougar Rye, Whistlepig you name it) , one would have high expectations for MGP Ingredients first brand of their own. Thankfully, Rossville Union doesn’t disappoint. It’s a very nicely balanced rye, well-rounded by its time in oak but with a solid dose of the grain’s signature spice. Vanilla, charred oak, and white pepper come through on the palate. It’s affordably priced and easy to enjoy neat or with just a cube or two of ice.
