From an awesome vintage in the Yarra Valley comes this pearler of a cab sauv from Squitchy Lane. Heady aromas of cassis, fleshy plums, violets and touches of toastiness float out of the glass, before the medium-bodied palate chimes in with juicy dark berry flavours, fine, graceful tannins, and a juicy, long finish that shows some tightness. It will cellar for a few years and improve, but a bit of air and some venison would see this wine come into its own. Amazing value at the price! Red – Cabern
