Te Mata Estate Bullnose Syrah

This cracking syrah (shiraz) from Te Mata is just the sort of wine to splash out on if you want to spoil yourself a little. It’s quite a medium-bodied style (13% alcohol), and shows lots of pepper spice, red fruits and vanilla on the nose. The palate is surprisingly plush and juicy, with compact red and black fruit flavours, lashings of spice, licks of toasted vanilla, fine-grained tannins, and a long, lingering, spicy finish.
