Telmo Rodriguez is one of those producers you have to follow for Spanish wine. His wines are consistently good, regardless of vintage, so you can’t go wrong! This cheeky little verdejo (not to be confused with verdelho) is a bit like sauvignon blanc, in fact it might have a sneaky 2-3% in the mix, and shows tropical passionfruit and pineapple on the nose, together with some lemon zest. The palate is pretty much the same flavour-wise, and it’s all wrapped up in crisp acidity, and a refreshing, cleansing citrus finish. It’s great value, so bring on the seafood!
