The Islander Estate The Red

Now, here’s a wine from Kangaroo Island that is made by a French guy from one of Bordeaux’s wine families – Jaques Lurton. This has a bit of everything in the blend, including malbec, cab sav and grenache, and the result is a medium-bodied, fruit and savoury number that shows dark fruits and toasty oak on the nose and palate, supported by bright acidity and supple tannins. It’s dead easy to drink and would be great with some lamb rissoles. Red – Other Reds – Red Blend
