The great thing about Portuguese ports is that they are not overly sweet, and this one is no different. There are plenty of red fruits, roasted nuts and dried herbs on the nose and palate, and it’s all supported by a touch of sweetness at first, fine tannins, and a dry, savoury and toasty finish.
