VINTAGE CONDITIONS – Above average winter and spring rainfall offered the vines across the Limestone Coast region healthy soil moisture profiles for the growing season. A long growing season with cool days and cooler nights slowed vine growth in early spring. The cool temperatures and abundant rainfall during the growing season produced a vintage that challenged both winemakers and viticulturists alike. Selecting harvest days and parcels of fruit at the right time resulted in fully ripened grapes with well-developed colours and flavours.
VINEYARD SELECTION – This wine has been crafted to highlight the best of two varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz; melded together to complement each other perfectly and produce an outstanding wine of character.
WINEMAKING – 6 months maturation on seasoned French Oak.
COLOUR – Brick red with crimson hues.
AROMA – Lifted aromas of red fruits meld with mint and white plum, a wine more reminiscent of cool climate wine regions from around the world.
PALATE – The palate shows generous fruits – mulberry and cocoa chocolate. The oak derived tannins are well integrated with the fruit. A clean moreish finish.
