As is a common story in Bordeaux, succession of ownership didn't do La Mission any favours until it's neighbours, Haut-Brion took the reigns. Château La Mission now produce wines that are rich and powerful to compliment those of Haut-Brion with it's delicacy and finesse. Always deep in colour, the quality of this wine has become outstanding. Even more so with the 2008 vintage which saw some warmer weather during harvest that has imparted an uncious character and a quite pleasant perfumed character.
