It is one of a handful of whiskies that can withstand long ageing in oak. Sweet and fruity nose. Sultanas, vanilla and Sherry. A hint of peppermint and a very delicate smoke note emerges. Hints of black pepper and nuts. A fruitiness also emerges. Very creamy with a distinct cocoa element. A very slight presence of aniseed. Mouth coating. One of the most complex Speyside Malts – an after dinner dram.
