A Rare Old bottling from G&M’s vast stock of old whiskies. Littlemill was an old lowland distillery destroyed by fire in 2004. The whisky is dark straw – pale gold with a prominent floral note, touches of freshly cut grass and straw. Heavy citrus – lemon and oranges, milk chocolate with some woodiness and a nice balance of sweet elements. On the tongue a strong sweetness with mild spicy influences and a touch of perfume. Heavy sweetness, light citrus and soft fruits – reminiscent of cooked apples. A medium bodied typical lowland malt with a sweet grassy and pleasant finish.
